Vegan Avocado Recipe

Avocado (Persea americana) is a tree from Central America. He is known for his fruit of the same name suitable for consumption, which is also called a lawyer’s pear or, if he is eaten, sometimes called solange. The name avocado comes from the Nahuatl word ahuacatl, which also means ‘teelball’. Mexico is a major exporter of avocados. Numerous orchards are found in the area around the city of Uruapan.

Vegan Avocado Recipe

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 2 cups packed fresh basil⠀
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 tbsp tahini (add this for texture which worked great, but it is optional for the recipe)
  • 4 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • Juice of 1 lemon⠀
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • Salt + pepper⠀

This is really a 2 step process, you’ll be pinching yourself for not having made it sooner!⠀
1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor or blender.⠀
2. Pulse until smooth. Serve with your favorite pasta and Enjoy!
